The structure of the SL cross slider coupling and the reason for the abnormal noise?

Release date: 2020-03-09 Publisher: ever-power coupling

The SL cross slide coupling is composed of several sets of diaphragms (stainless steel thin plate) which are alternately connected with two halves of the coupling with bolts. Whole pieces of different shapes. SL cross slider coupling is equipped with large load-bearing capacity, light weight, small structure size, high transmission efficiency and transmission accuracy, good performance, easy assembly and disassembly, and has no relative sliding, no lubrication, long service life, and no noise , Acid and alkali resistance, and can be used in high temperature, low temperature, oil, water and corrosive environments.Suitable for medium, high speed and large torque shaft transmission. As well as the shaft transmission with little change in load of various mechanical devices, it has strong versatility.

The SL Oldham coupling consists of at least one diaphragm and two sleeves. The diaphragm is generally fixed on the sleeve by a pin, which will not cause rebound between the film and the sleeve. Some manufacturers provide two membranes, including three membranes, with one or two rigid elements in the middle, and two ends connected to the sleeve. The difference between the JZM type heavy machinery coupling and the SL Oldham coupling lies in the ability to handle various deviations. Because the diaphragm needs to be bent complicatedly, the SL Oldham coupling is not suitable for eccentricity. The SL Oldham coupling can be bent in different directions at the same time to compensate for eccentricity. Compared with the double sliding mode, the SL cross slider coupling does not require relative sliding, lubrication, sealing, noise-free, basically maintenance-free, easy to manufacture, and can partially replace the coupling.

    Cause of abnormal noise

■The gap between the two halves of the coupling is too wide, causing the diaphragm to receive a greater axial force, which will cause the stranded holes or stranded bolts to wear and cause abnormal noise.

■Excessive axial offset or too large deflection angle of the two halves of the coupling will also cause vibration and abnormal noise during equipment operation.

■The difference between the speed of the active end and the passive end will also cause vibration and abnormal noise during the operation of the equipment.

■The motor speed code disc is faulty, causing the motor speed to be fast and slow, and the diaphragm coupling makes abnormal noise.
