The function of the flying shear

1, As the head and rear part of the rolling parts have some defect or the temperature of steel is too low, the flying shear need to cut the head and rear to insure the quality of the rolling parts before it gets into the finishing mill.

2, The flying shear will cut the rolling parts immediately if any failure occurs to the finishing mill, then the switch will turn the parts to snap shear to snap.

Equipment composition and structural characteristics.

Flying shear is composed by transmission equipment, cutting support base and upper & lower spindle. Rotary tool rest has installed backsword, two spindles which are parallel with start-stop work system. Tool rest makes one revolution to finish one cutting period. Motor drive the spindle through reduction gears and make the upper, lower spindle rotated through the gear.

The lower spindle is connected with transmission equipments. Motor adapt separately ventilated machine and equipped speed measuring motor to measure the speed of the direct motor. Safety gear coupling is installed between the motor and reduction gears to insure the safety to use the equipment.

Cutting support base is a welded case with four-layers, it has four gear rolls inside, including upper, lower spindle and the others are transition gear rolls

Upper spindle has optical-electricityencoder to control the start-stop position of the shear blade in the processing of the cutting.

Lubrication
Recycled lubrication is adopted for internal gear and bearing of the shearing machine with dilute oil supplied by outside dilute oil station. Sump lubrication is applied for redactor.

Descriptions

The DGA Compact Single Shaft Shredder has a 251mm diameter profiled rotor made of solid steel, operating at a speed of 11.6~12.9rpm. The concave ground, aggressive 4-way rotating knives are mounted in the grooves of the profiled rotor with special knife holders. This enables a reduction of the cutting gap between the counter knives and the rotor which guarantees a high flow rate, low power consumption and maximum output of shredded material.

The hydraulically operated ram feeds the material automatically in the rotor’s cutting chamber by load-related controls. The hydraulic system is equipped with high-pressure valves and volumetric flow controls which can be set according to the requirements of the input material.

Extremely robust pedestal bearing housings are mounted outside the machine and separate to the cutting chamber to prevent dust and dirt penetrating into the oversized bearings. This ensures a long service life and minimum service and maintenance.

Power is transmitted from the motor by a drive belt via an oversized gearbox which is located on the shaft end on one end of the rotor.

A safety switch prevents machine startup when the front panel is open and the machine features emergency stop buttons on the machine body and control panel.
